A brand-new role to the Gymshark placement programme, our strategic finance placement student will be integral to our corporate finance team. Your mission will be to support the Corporate Development and Financial Planning & Analysis functions to help in the strategic development of our business plan and ensure we execute on our strategic goals as planned, whilst also providing assistance across budgeting and reforecasting processes to facilitate informed decision making.

Placement Start Date: 1st July, 2024
Placement Duration: 13 Months
Location: Solihull, West Midlands, UK
Closing Date: Sunday 5th November, Midnight (Applications may close before the deadline, so please apply early to avoid disappointment)
Assessment Day: 14th December, 2023 (Based at our GSHQ campus, Solihull)
What you’ll learn:
You will gain experience and knowledge of:
- Helping to develop and define the Gymshark growth strategy and monitoring progress against the business plan
- How to assess and execute on strategic partnerships
- Budget setting and monitoring of performance against the budget
- Reforecasting throughout the year to ensure the business has relevant information to make informed and strategic decisions
- Building strong relationships across the whole organisation and externally
What you’ll need

For a strategic finance placement with us, you will also need:
- Solid level of financial acumen, with an ability to understand and interpret a Profit & Loss statement
- Excellent Excel skills and technologically proficient with a willingness to learn new systems, combined with an ability to manipulate raw data to extract insights
- Able to work with sensitive data with appropriate confidentiality and professionalism
- An awareness of the broader economic and customer landscape

TO BE ELIGIBLE, YOU MUST:
✅ Be currently studying an undergraduate degree at university
✅ Be able to take 13 months out to do a year in industry before going back for your final year
✅ Have the right to work in the UK (unfortunately we cannot provide sponsorship for placement students)
✅ Be happy to work from our HQ campus in Solihull, West Midlands
✅ Be ready to start from July 2024
