You will have the opportunity to be involved in the creation and implementation of strategic plans and support the drive on key deliverables for our R&D organisation. The R&D Strategy & Excellence team drives the execution of strategic initiatives, capability development & risk management – supporting our colleagues and teams to strive for excellence where it matters. The role will give you a rare opportunity to see and contribute to business operations at a corporate level.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Strategy and Excellence key areas of focus (Capability Development, Risk Management & Governance and Formulation & Data Excellence)
- Work with the Capability Development Lead to support the roll out and maintenance of R&D-wide learning and development programmes and initiatives.
- Work with the Risk Management Lead to support internal monitoring of the risk management programme, track risk mitigation activities (including generating reports) and help develop tools to support risk management capability in R&D.
- Work with the Formulation & Data Excellence Lead to build and maintain development community capabilities and technical platforms
- Support the head of Strategy and Excellence in the smooth running of monthly team meetings – including meeting logistics, creating agendas & running the meetings (both online and face to face)

Education required
You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of a Business, Science, Technology, Engineering or Math undergraduate degree, but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You may be expected to provide evidence from your university to show you will be an undergraduate student for the duration of the placement year and they are supportive of your placement.
