    We’re looking for an individual with excellent attention to detail to record data accurately and in a timely manner. You’ll need to be able to plan, organise, prioritise and make effective use of your time and resources, as you’ll be performing reconciliations, as well as investigating and resolving any differences that arise.

    Some of the things you'll get up to

    • Daily receipt and logging of supplier invoices and employee expenses
    • Checking validity of invoices to ensure they are addressed to the correct entity; include the correct tax treatment; and from verified suppliers
    • Responsibility for ensuring data entry is accurate and commentary is of high quality and in agreement with prescribed requirements of Management Accounting team
    • Ensuring all invoices are authorised appropriately
    • Reconciliation of supplier statements as appropriate ensuring any differences are investigated and properly resolved
    • Coding of authorised invoices and employee expenses to ensure they are input to the correct nominal ledger account and cost centre
    • Production and settlement via online banking of weekly payment runs

    We'd like you to have

    • Experience of accounts payable
    • Experience in the financial services industry and familiarity with associated software packages
    • A good level of English, both written and oral
    • Excellent numeric skills
    • Excellent customer service skills with an excellent telephone manner and the ability to communicate clearly and precisely both verbally and by email
    • Ability to work within a team environment and to co-operate with team members thereby building effective working relationships
    • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and the ability to learn new systems and processes as required
    • Willingness to learn, develop and adapt to new ideas and circumstances
    • Drive and self-determination with the ability to find and implement solutions to problems
