    The role

    Hampshire County Council has an impressive client base within its specialist sectors and are looking to recruit to the Cost Management team.

    Working alongside a highly experienced and capable team out of the Winchester office. The successful candidate will undertake both Pre and Post Contract QS services on projects typically ranging from £100k - £500k, while assisting senior members of the team on larger schemes.

    Please note this job advert covers two grades a Graduate Cost Manager and Assistant Cost Manager role. Salary and job offer will be offered based on the candidate’s level of qualifications and their relevance to the role. To be considered for the higher grade Assistant Cost Manager role you will be required to hold a BSc/Masters Degree in Quantity Surveying.

    Person specification

    • BSc/Masters Degree in Quantity Surveying (requirement of Assistant Cost Manager role)
    • Working towards a Master’s or Degree in Quantity Surveying
    • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise activities.
    • Ability to manage conflicting pressures and priorities and work in a demanding multidisciplinary environment.
    • The role holder is required to travel to various locations within Hampshire [and the Isle of Wight or other local authority], and it is essential they have a current drivers licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
