We're looking for a self-starter with a passion for information communication to join our data team!
At Hanson Wade, data is at the heart of our business and is used to deliver, sell, market, support our products, maintain our systems, and develop our solutions. The Data and Insight team is central to converting that data into meaningful insights to help drive our business. The Business Insight Analyst will be part that team and will be responsible for analysing a wide range of data to help inform marketing, sales, production functions and their business strategies.
About the role
You will ensure that internal briefs are translated into analytical projects and that the analysis is relevant for their specific business function or product. You will be comfortable using a range of analytical tools to help with their analysis and challenge their performance. You will be responsible for providing quantitative and qualitative analysis and insight on the projects, whilst working alongside other analysts, data engineers and system owners. You need to be comfortable working on your own analytics projects and be able to work with specialist experts on larger, more complex projects.
- Work closely with the Business Insight Lead and other data analysts in the team to translate internal briefs into analytical projects (to include refining the initial brief and asking the ‘right questions’, working through potential hypotheses and storyboarding the output)
- Conduct analysis using in-house analytics tools, and be comfortable analysing a range of customer and business data
- Maintain and build dashboards/reports for internal customers using internal visualisation tools
- Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis and insight to inform business strategy, production, marketing, sales, and brand strategies
- Synthesise data and analysis into impactful, action-orientated reports for internal stakeholders
- Able to communicate the key findings and insight to senior stakeholders and peers both conversationally and in formal presentation style
- Maintain knowledge of previous analysis to avoid duplication and to share learnings from relevant past projects
- Arrange follow-up meetings with customers after they have received their analysis to ensure that it has been helpful and document any scope for improvements to the service
