About the Role
- You will be in the Council’s Planning Policy Team assisting with the development, implementation and monitoring of the Council’s planning policies and strategies
- You will support the production of the Council’s New Local Plan, including preparing documentation, creating maps and visual materials for presentations, and consulting and engaging on the emerging Plan with the borough’s communities and other local stakeholders
- In addition, you will support other workstreams in the Team including ambitious work on placemaking, responding to the climate emergency, infrastructure planning, supplementary planning documents, neighbourhood plans, and much more
About You
- The successful candidate will have a passion for helping to create great places and the ability to work flexibly as part of a small and dynamic team. They will be enthusiastic about engaging with diverse members of the public and highly motivated to make Haringey a better place to live for all.
- You should have digital skills with an ability to learn new graphic design software quickly. Ideally you will have proficiency using Adobe InDesign and/or the wider Adobe Creative Suite software.
- Other software experience (desired but not essential):
- 3D visualisation & GIS software including: SketchUp Pro, Google Earth Pro, Vu.City, MapInfo, ArcGIS, or equivalent
- Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Excel
- Power BI
- A degree in town planning, architecture, urban design, or a related discipline is desired but not essential. A wide range of skills are needed to support the team’s work programme.
