Full-time analysts actively contribute to each phase of the deal process, working alongside Harris Williams bankers of all levels.     Analyst Role

    Analysts at Harris Williams play an integral role in all the firm’s merger and acquisition advisory activities. Analysts learn the deal process through live transaction work alongside seasoned banking professionals and are active contributors during every phase of the deal process. As an Analyst, you have a high level of exposure to clients, represent the firm throughout the entire deal process, and cultivate a well-rounded skillset as an M&A expert within a specific industry group.

    Along with your teams, you will create major deal process deliverables, including:

    • Pitch Materials
    • Valuation Analysis
    • Confidential Information Memorandum
    • Management Presentation

    Harris Williams hires individuals who are accomplished both inside and outside of the classroom. Eligible candidates should be in their final year of study working towards or already possess a 2:1 Bachelor's degree. No specific academic major is required; however, basic knowledge of finance and accounting is desired.

    Training & Development

    New analysts convene in Richmond, Virginia for a robust training program designed to integrate you into our culture, provide thorough knowledge of the M&A process, and prepare you to hit the ground running. The HW training program includes a week of valuation and modeling training with Wall Street Prep, followed by internally-led training sessions detailing each key aspect of a sell-side M&A transaction. This is just the beginning of an extensive learning experience at Harris Williams.

    Mentorship

    Mentorship – both formal and organic – is critical to our people’s success. Analysts are assigned mentors who serve as your “go to” resource and help acclimate you to the role. Our lean deal teams, apprenticeship model, and flat organisational culture ensures you will also find additional mentors along the way.
