The Customer Services & Business Support department in Harrow Council are looking for an Analyst to support the Business Intelligence Unit by providing additional support to Adult Social Care. A major objective of the role being to improve the quality of the data held in our social care database, which will make data and statistics produced more accurate and useful.
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- Knowledge of how data is stored in large computer systems and how reporting tools are used to extract data from them (e.g. SQL, Business Objects, PowerBI)
- Experience of research involving data handling, analysis and interpretation (e.g. use of statistical analysis)
- Experience of working with large databases in a data management/handling role (not just as a database user)
- Excellent ICT skills; advanced user of Excel, plus any PowerBI, MS365 applications
- High level communications skills both in writing and orally
- An organised, project driven approach to their work
- Experience of working with public sector data, ideally knowledge of adult social care
- A clear understanding of the diverse nature of Harrow’s communities and the implications for strategy and performance development
