The London Borough of Harrow are currently recruiting for a Pensions Assistant. The successful postholder will play a full role in the development Pensions utilising the full functionality of both the Altair and D365 applications. You will carry out a wide range of administrative duties that assist in the provision, to a standard of excellence, of all pensions service functions and you will develop knowledge of Altair/D365 and assist in the ongoing development of the application.
About you
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of issues from the client’s perspective to achieve resolution of enquiries
- Must have sufficient knowledge of IT applications to enable straightforward search and interrogation of databases
- Must be able to follow business processes, prioritise and plan own workload
- Must have a clear understanding of the diverse nature of Harrow’s communities and Harrow’s workforce, and the implications for organisational development interventions
- Office administration experience
- Must be able to handle, in an efficient manner, simple client enquiries raised through telephony, written communications, in person or through electronic format
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels, actively listens and responds to the client as appropriate, good written communication skills
- Experience of working to strict deadlines
- Use available information to aid problem solving
- Ability to develop and maintain Excel worksheets, word documents, and relevant internal IT databases
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to work with others as part of a team
