We’re looking for a brilliant writer to join the Wonderly Hub editorial team based at Volkswagen Group UK’s headquarters in Milton Keynes.

On behalf of Volkswagen Group UK, we operate Hub, the main digital communication channel between its brands - including Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, CUPRA and Škoda - and its national network of dealers and repair centres.

The Hub team creates, edits and publishes news and reference articles spanning everything from the latest model launches and offers to minor specification and business updates.

    The role

The SEAT/CUPRA Editorial Assistant will be working to support the SEAT/CUPRA Editor to deliver essential communications to their network of Retailers. It’s an exciting time for the CUPRA brand - CUPRA is evolving and you’ll be at the heart of it. Plus, with the launch of a new dedicated CUPRA Hub site for Retailers, there’ll be plenty to get involved with.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Writing engaging copy to keep the people who work in SEAT and CUPRA’s national network up to date with all the latest news, updates, offers and incentives
    • Editing and proof reading news articles
    • Building and publishing content using a content management system (CMS)
    • Creating and sending out a daily newsletter using Mailchimp
    • Meeting with stakeholders across the SEAT and CUPRA brands when required
    • Collaborating with the other Hub editors to contribute to monthly team meetings and share editorial best practice

Your skills, experience and knowledge/ Minimum role criteria

    • A degree in journalism or English, or demonstrable alternative experience and aptitude
    • Strong written and communication skills, with an eagle eye for detail
    • The ability to multitask, effectively managing your own workload and proactively seeking opportunities to help
    • Digital content experience, particularly using a CMS (eg Wordpress) but ideally also some knowledge of tools such as Photoshop and Google Analytics
    • The ability to follow a robust content creation, sign-off and publishing process
    • The confidence to work in a busy, client-facing office environment, where a calm, positive attitude is vital
    • An interest in cars (not essential, but useful)

The role would suit someone early in their career, preferably with journalism or digital content experience, who has an interest in digital publishing and the automotive industry.

This role is for you if:

    • You love writing and are looking to develop your career in journalism in the automotive industry

We are a Disability Confident employer and offer guaranteed interviews to all disabled applicants who meet the above minimum criteria.

To be considered as part of this initiative, please ensure you indicate if you have a disability when applying for the post.
