Heitman European Private Equity
Heitman entered the European private real estate market in 1995 and now has a track record on projects across all asset types through closed-end commingled funds and separate accounts, the former being the main investment focus. The European Private Equity team has acquired over $9 billion in assets, from direct real estate to operating businesses and via a range of strategies from regulatory change exploitation through portfolio aggregations and private-to-listed market arbitrage. This Opportunity
Heitman’s London office is seeking an entry-level investment professional to join our Private Equity team. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, fluent in English and an additional European language, able to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment and have an interest in growing their career in Real Estate. This position will also work on both new acquisitions as well as portfolio and asset management work streams.
The responsibilities of an Investment Associate, Private Real Estate Equityinclude, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the underwriting and evaluation of European real estate acquisitions across strategies and asset classes, including operating business and listed vehicle transactions
- Prepare presentation materials of investment opportunities for Investment Committee purpose
- Provide support in the due diligence and closing phase of the transaction in conjunction with in-house and outside parties
- Contribute to the management of investments through their lifecycle, including preparing valuations/quarterly reports, cash flow projections, and budgeting analysis
- Assist in the analysis and execution of investment dispositions
Who you are
\We are seeking individuals who meet the following criteria:
- 1 – 2 years’ experience
- Strong academic track record from tier one University, with a degree focusing on finance and/or real estate
- Previous experience in real estate corporate finance such as private equity, investment banking or as a corporate finance consultant within an accounting firm
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, along with outstanding organization skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Proficiency in English and at least one other European language
