Helix Well Ops (UK) Ltd (part of the Helix Energy Solutions Group) currently has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Accountant to join our team. We are looking for a proactive individual who is keen to learn and develop their skills and experience.
Key responsibilities
The role reports to the Financial Controller and the key responsibilities include:
- Budget cost control
- Preparation of cost estimates, cost reports and cash flow forecasting for review.
- Assisting the Commercial team with cost data.
- Preparation of project invoices.
- Monitoring of purchase orders.
- Liaising with project teams in relation to costs/orders out with original estimates.
- Assisting project teams resolve any A/P invoice disputes.
- Credit control and flagging of issues to the Finance Manager.
- Journal voucher entries.
- Posting of cash receipts.
- Creating and maintaining project set ups in the Oracle system.
Experience & skills required
- Educated to Degree level in Accountancy or related discipline.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and to fixed deadlines.
- Excellent IT skills, in particular Excel
- Experience of Oracle and Project Accounting module, desirable.
