    The role

As part of our internship program, we offer 3rd-year degree students an immersive experience, working alongside experienced professionals in our Audit team. Interns will gain hands-on exposure to diverse client portfolios, have the opportunity to shadow experienced mentors, and contribute to various accountancy tasks.

    About you

For the right candidates, there is potential for progression to a training contract upon completion of studies, dependent upon achieving a 2:1 degree. A demonstrated interest in the department’s field and exhibiting determination and motivation to pursue the relevant qualification is essential. Don’t miss this chance to embark on a rewarding journey with Henderson Loggie.

    What we do

External Audit is the biggest department at Henderson Loggie, both in terms of staff numbers and revenue generated. The audit team is responsible for conducting independent reviews of a client’s financial statements, records, and internal controls. Their goal is to ensure that their clients are operating in compliance with relevant laws and regulations and that their financial statements accurately reflect their financial performance.

ICAS: Our audit trainees’ study towards their ICAS (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland) qualification to becoming a CA. The ICAS qualification typically involves training, exams, and practical experience. The CA qualification is broken down into 4 sections: Knowledge, Skill, Integration and relevant practice experience. You will learn about accounting principles, auditing methodologies, and regulatory compliance. Our trainees undergo training and exams, blending theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
