We now have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Intern (Placement Student) to join our busy head office team in Sheffield in the summer of 2023 for 12 months.
Your Role
As Finance Intern, you will spend a whole year learning what it is like to work in a friendly finance function. You will do this by supporting the processing and maintaining the purchase ledger for our Group of Companies. Our subsidiaries depend on you and your specific skills to deliver a first-class in-house service.
As an integral part of our Finance team, you will maintain daily cash books, prepare daily cash figures and process invoices. Working alongside your experienced colleagues, you will also be responsible for processing expense claims and preparing payment runs. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Maintenance of daily cash books
- Daily bank reconciliation.
- Preparation of daily cash figures.
- Processing of rental income sales invoices.
- Entering supplier invoices and credit notes for group companies into the Accounting system Navision.
- Processing and input of expense claims.
- Data input.
- Preparation of payment runs for group companies.
- Maintenance of ledgers and reconciliation of balances.
- Provision of detailed account information to auditors as required.
- Filing and scanning duties.
- Assist in the preparation and production of regular and ad-hoc reports and spreadsheets.
- Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
About You
Are you studying for a Finance or Accountancy degree? If so, we want to hear from you. As a natural communicator, you’ll have a hands-on and flexible approach, be self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
