    We are looking for a high calibre candidate to join our International (Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific, India and Japan) regional team for PR/media relations, communications and analyst relations as a PR and Communications Intern. The 13 month communications placement is based in Winnersh, Reading, Berkshire, UK, and you will be reporting to the director of International Global Communications for Hewlett Packard Enterprise based in the UK.

    How You’ll Make Your Mark

    • You will run and manage regular progress meetings with agency teams around the world
    • You will manage the associated budget trackers resulting from these reviews
    • You will distribute press releases and contents to the international agency teams when requested
    • You will pitch news to journalists and tracking responses
    • You will analyze and produce coverage reports on a regular basis
    • You will manage reports of coverage on identified press releases and events
    • You will increase internally the profile of HPE in the news through creating a monthly news report that displays relevant news articles about HPE and their competitors
    • You will support the HPE PR team and PR agency partners whenever they need any help
    • You will assist with PR projects and events, including logistics support, including booking and managing travel, press pack production, badging and organisational activities as needed
    • You will attend UK-based press events as needed to handle logistics, badging, handouts etc
    • You will drive the press release program including loading press releases to newsroom, proactively communicating to analysts
    • You will support the analyst team, including logistics, keeping databases up to date,

    About You

    • Potential interns must be in their 2nd year of a four-year degree which requires (or has an option for) 3rd year to be a one year's industrial placement, and are expected to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 grade
    • Placement applicants should ideally come from degree courses focused around PR, Communications, Business and/or Marketing, however this is not essential.
    • Strong time and project management skills with a work ethic to do whatever is required.
    • Demonstrate initiative and ability to work on own with minimal direct day-to-day supervision.
    • Confident and self-motivated both individually and in a team.
    • Eager to perform and exceed expectations
    • Good attention to detail
    • Very strong written and oral communication skills, with high degree of personal credibility and professionalism
    • Creative, intelligent, proactive, reliable and energetic
