About the role
As a Sales Support Intern, you will work closely with the HPE UKIMEA Compute Business Unit, with sales teams across the geo. You will contribute to the success of our sales efforts and ensuring a seamless experience for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-driven, proactive individual to support our teams in delivering innovative solutions and driving value for our customers.
The day to day role focuses around ensuring our sellers are prepped and ready to help customers solve issues they face. This includes reporting, profiling and account mapping, getting involved in various team events and activities to drive success and shadowing sellers setting you in good stead to learn sales techniques.

How will you make your mark
- You will play a key part in assisting our sales staff in managing their sales opportunities
- You will learn about HPE, the company strategy, organisational structure, business and sales governance, processes, and tools
- You will have the chance to look into and shadow sales cycles of a world-renowned tech company
- You will take on forecasting and reporting responsibilities, providing updates on sales activity within the team
- You will have opportunities to get involved in a variety of projects across the department e.g. managing corporate hospitality activities for our partners and distributers, supporting with live sales opportunities, and many more
- You will be continually supported in developing your skills and expertise with the support of a designated mentor and our Early Careers development programme.
- When you join you will receive a 4 week ‘hand over’ period from the current intern in the position to help you establish yourself in this role.
- You be working closely alongside the other Sales Support Interns who are also based in Manchester.
If you are
- Potential interns must be in their 2nd year of a four-year degree which requires (or has an option for) 3rd year to be a one year's industrial placement, and are expected to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 grade
- You must be eligible to work in the UK and be available to commence the placement at the beginning of July 2025 for 13 months.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program
- Keen to develop your skills and interested in building a career in technology business operations or sales.
- A strong communicator, both written and verbal
- Organised and able to effectively manage your time
- Experienced with Microsoft Office and database management. Excel and PowerPoint especially would be beneficial.
