Insight Scheme 2024 in conjunction with Health Training Contract 2027
Our training contracts offer you the opportunity to do four six-month seats in your chosen sector over the course of the two years. We believe that by aligning your career to a sector of law that you are truly passionate about from the outset, you will become the best future lawyer at Hill Dickinson that you can be, through tailoring your development and knowledge to either business services, health or marine.
Whichever route you choose to follow, the recruitment process and application deadlines are the same.
- Our online application is open from 1 October 2023 to 31 January 2024, and we will respond to all applications in the weeks following this deadline, to advise if your application has progressed to the online assessment.
- You will be required to complete an online interactive assessment and video interview in February 2024.
- For those who are successful in gaining a place on our insight scheme or assessment day, these will take place in June 2024.
- The assessment day will involve a number of activities, including a final panel interview.
We have training contracts on offer based in our Liverpool, Manchester, London, Leeds and Newcastle offices.
You will be supported throughout your training not only by your supervisor and peers, but also a dedicated trainee committee. Our trainee committee is made up of partners, legal directors and senior associates that represent each of our locations and business groups. Alongside regular reviews, where the committee will check in on your progress and development, they are also always on hand to provide advice and support.
Alongside the technical, legal training you will also have the opportunity to attend a programme designed especially for our trainees to enhance your business skills and personal effectiveness. Not only does this ensure you have the foundations you need to continue to grow in your career, but also provides a valuable opportunity to network with your peers.
As acknowledged by our A* in the peer support category from Legal Cheek, our trainees ranked their colleagues as being highly supportive, always on hand to share advice and guidance.
Being a part of Hill Dickinson is about more than the work you do in each of your seats, and you will have the opportunity to get actively involved in our corporate responsibility agenda, diversity and inclusion networking groups and social committees. We offer an extensive range of benefits designed to help meet your personal and social needs, as well as your professional needs, to encourage a healthy work life balance – including giving you your birthday off!
We regularly review our benefits to ensure that they our both competitive and relevant to our people, and you can find further information on our website. In addition, our trainees start on £28,000 in northern offices and £39,000 in London, which increases in the second year of your training.
