    We are looking for six high-calibre undergraduate students to join our Human Resources department on a 12 month placement. Whether you are looking to gain experience in Talent Acquisition (Recruitment), HR Consulting or Compensation and Benefits, we have a range of placements available within our highly talented team.

    A bit about the job

    As an intern, you will be an integral part of the team and will play an active role in our continued success. You will carry out a range of administrative/support activities, as well as having ownership of your own project based initiatives.

    You will be asked toselect your top three choices of HR Internship in order of preference, so here’s a bit about what each team does.

    Talent Acquisition (Recruitment)

    The Talent Acquisition Team support our corporate functions and hotels with all stages of recruitment activity across Europe, Middle East and Africa. This is a great opportunity to gain an understanding of the many processes involved in hiring for a range of different disciplines.

    As well as supporting with the delivery of our recruitment processes, you will also be our designated ‘systems expert’ and will provide management information and reports on recruitment activity as and when required. You will support with Recruitment events, such as Conferences and Assessment Centres, and will gain first hand insight into what it takes to build industry leading teams on an international scale.

    Compensation and Benefits

    If numbers are your thing and you like working with data to tell the story behind it, compensation may just be the right field for you! The Compensation team determine how we reward our employees in a way which is competitive and fair, whilst controlling our costs. You will assist the area of Hotel Compensation for Europe with work related to annual activities and various projects.

    This might include supporting the compensation review process, salary surveys, and/or Total Reward Strategy by analysing, researching and modelling different sources of data. You will make recommendations on process improvements, assist in the development and delivery of presentations and communications to key regional stakeholders, and support with the delivery of the company bonus plans (amongst other things comp related!).

As an Intern, you will support the team with market research, design and implementation aspects of new benefits.

    You will use your creative skills to produce engaging communications for our Team Members, in addition to looking after our discount and recognition platform, Hilton Marketplace. Furthermore, you will liaise with providers and potential suppliers to source new offers.

    The benefits internship will give the successful candidate exposure to both project work and day-to-day activities, helping you to build transferable skills for your future career.

    HR Consulting (Corporate)

    This role is a great opportunity to get insight into the role of a HR Generalist in a matrix environment as it incorporates insight into all aspects of HR, offering a great breadth of experience in just 12 months.

    Some of your day to day tasks may include supporting with employee relations matters, assisting with HR and business data analysis, creating reports and presentations for internal and external audiences up to and including a senior level, and supporting the HR team with the coordination, communication and promotion of EMEA wide engagement and wellbeing initiatives (e.g. Thrive @ Hilton) for our Corporate Team Members.

    What are we looking for?

    As with any job, we do have certain criteria that you will need to meet in order to be considered for one of these highly sought after opportunities. These are detailed as follows:

    • Must be in your second year of undergraduate study at the point of application
    • Must be available to start in July 2023, for the full 12 months.
    • Must be eligible to work in the UK. If you are a non-UK national, without EU Settled or Pre-Settled Status then you will need to be studying at a UK university in order to be eligible to undertake a placement here.
    • You should be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in Human Resources
    • Able to manage confidential information with absolute discretion
    • Highly personable and able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in your approach to work

    Whilst we are not always able to guarantee an offer of employment at the end of your studies, we like to keep in touch with our intern community and many have successfully re-joined Hilton upon completion of their degree.
