Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity to join our Power Consulting team. This role will allow you to work under supervision and allow you to deliver small exciting consulting assignments. This role will allow you to generate consulting deliverables and assist senior consultants in assignments and help our customers in Power Consulting technical queries and help grow and develop new and existing relationships. Develop advisory projects for the main electricity sector agents (such as: distribution and transmission companies, retailers, generators, investment funds, industrial consumers, etc.) helping them to deal with regulatory, economic and electricity market challenges and take advantage of the arising opportunities. Execute assignments of low/medium complexity, as per agreed timeline and standards using established solutions or developing news. Your responsibilities
- Works on consulting assignments using established standards, methods and technologies to develop solutions and resolve issues. Generates consulting deliverables (e.g. reports).
- Clarifies customer enquiry on technical issues. Analyses and works on customer’s feedback. Supports colleagues in both, creating proposals as well as sales material.
- Supports contract management activities in one’s area of responsibility.
- Follows work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility. Ensures quality and timely implementation within targeted cost.
- Supports risk assessments and implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility. Documents and handles technical risks by following mitigation guidelines.
- Uses standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility. Ensures that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Reports inefficiencies in processes and tools.
Your background
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical power systems or similar, is required.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the design, understanding and performance of power systems studies.
- Knowledge in power systems analysis, as well as experience in software simulation tools such as Digsilent Powerfactory, PSCAD, ETAP, PSS/E (power systems) and/or EMTP (electronic systems)
- Fluent in English.
