Your new role
In this superb opportunity, based out of our Newton Aycliffe facility, the graduate will work within various systems engineering team responsible for delivering engineering solutions for projects in the UK, and introducing world leading technology to the UK rail market.
This placement will provide the opportunity to experience and contribute to the efficient operational delivery of engineering lead tasks, maximising personal and professional development in an exciting and dynamic vision-led team.
Key role and responsibilities
- Work in accordance to a planned programme in the company and under the direction of senior managers.
- Gain experience in a number of business roles to equip the graduate engineer with a holistic view of the business.
- Present solutions and reach agreement with customers to achieve mutually acceptable commercial solutions.
- Attend training courses as instructed to develop industry and technical knowledge together with personal development.
- To work alongside one of our system engineers, take on tasks and projects to deliver objectives within the timeframe allowed.
- To take on a large project throughout their placement, and deliver on all aspects of this deliverable whilst maintaining good communication and records with all stakeholders.
- To be aware of and actively promote and implement Hitachi’s ethos, culture and values.
- To be involved in Hitachi Rail Europe’s staff development and training.
- To adhere to the Hitachi Rail Europe’s Equal Opportunities Policy.
- To comply with and implement Hitachi Rail Europe’s Health and Safety policy.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required.
