Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI) is a global market leader in energy from waste (EfW) and renewable gas. HZI acts as an engineering, procurement and construction contractor and project developer, delivering complete turnkey plants and system solutions for thermal and biological EfW recovery. HZI’s Service Group combines its own research and development with comprehensive manufacturing and erection capabilities to support our clients throughout the entire life cycle of their plant.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is committed to their studies as an Engineer to work with us across multiple UK projects.
The overall target of the position
- Graduate Engineering Roles straight from University or Similar technical stream. E.g., NVQ 6 or higher.
- Will be responsible for small tasks or work packages.
- Duties include, supervision of works, monitoring, reporting, inspections.
- General site duties as required to support the project.
- Participate in Training & Development activities.
Your responsibilities
- Ensures that all relevant HSEQ requirements are incorporated into area of responsibility and that, in consultation with site management, HSE and Commissioning team, HSE hazards are eliminated or mitigated to the extent practicable
- Ensures that works within area of responsibility are executed in accordance with contract requirements, and conform with the approved drawings and standards, project time and budget
- Maintains confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines
- Is aware of the HSE requirements relevant to their role and complies with them
- Will take and hold relevant qualifications E.g., CITB, SSSTS, SCC, Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications
- Participate and manage your Personal Training & Development program
Your experiences
- BEng (Hons) in Engineering
- Minimum NVQ level 6 with ability to move to NVQ 8 or higher
- Degree must be recognised by relevant National Chartered Body
- Solution orientated

- Full clean Driving license

- The working week is Monday to Friday, from 07:30-16:30 (with one-hour lunch break).
