The Junior Business Analyst will assist the Finance Team with routine forecasting and reporting. As such, routine reporting of KPIs, undertaking evaluations and analysis, preparation of annual plans and on-going forecasts are the key outputs.

This position is on an intern basis for a 9 - 12 month period.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and analysis of daily, weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Prepare monthly product and customer analysis and trends
  • Support the annual planning process including preparation of sales and cost plans, margin review, analysis and reports / presentations
  • Support the other planning cycles which include mid-year and projection reviews providing analysis and reports as appropriate in accordance with issued guidelines and assumptions and ensure timely submissions as per timetables
  • To provide ad-hoc reviews / reports and undertake specific projects as requested

Work experience requirements

  • Number of overall years necessary within a finance role: 0-2
  • Basic accounting / analysis experience
  • Commercial experience / exposure to non-financial environments
  • Knowledge of computing / planning systems
  • Knowledge of SAP/EDW and BPC planning and reporting applications would be an advantage

Education requirements

  • Degree level education
  • Desire to build a career in Accounting / Finance and undertake Professional Finance boards

Specialized skills/technical knowledge

  • Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft applications particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Capable of Excel modelling
