A bit about the role

The banking and investments programme is intended for someone with an interest in finance, banking or real estate investment, management and valuation. Whilst a degree in any of these areas would be desirable, it is not essential as it is just as important that the successful graduate demonstrates our organisational values and has the aptitude to learn and build an understanding of our business functions.

With over 200 colleagues in the profession including financiers, surveyors, housing specialists, property experts, accountants, real estate professionals, lawyers and business management professionals; our range of experience, skills and backgrounds will provide an ideal environment for someone keen to learn about how Homes England delivers its broad range of investment activities to support housing and regeneration across England.

As part of your time on the Investments Programme you will learn about each of our four main areas of the investments function and will build a working knowledge of grant funding, lending, debt and equity investments, loan, grant and equity, programme delivery and portfolio management. You will also work collaboratively with teams outside of Investments that provide enabling and corporate support and will help to provide broader context to the function and the Agency’s purpose.

At the end of the programme, you can expect to have worked with some of the most experienced and talented professionals in the industry and developed a broad skillset that will prepare you for an exciting and rewarding career in the finance and housing sector.

Together with our partners, we’re accelerating the pace of house building, remediation and regeneration across the country, as we seek to deliver ever more affordable homes in places people are proud to call home for generations to come.
