A bit about the role
The Data and Analytics Graduate Programme offers an exciting opportunity for graduates to gain valuable experience and develop expertise across a wide range of data disciplines. Working across Homes England, participants will address diverse business needs and requirements to support housing delivery and regeneration.
The programme begins by providing graduates with an understanding of how Homes England uses and works with data, offering exposure to key strategic and operational elements:
- Understanding Our Data Vision (Data Strategy and Culture)
- Graduates will gain insight into how Homes England leverages data strategically to drive its mission and achieve organisational goals.
- Shaping Data Architecture and Governance
- Building on this knowledge, graduates will have the opportunity to contribute to the design of Homes England’s data architecture and support the establishment of effective data governance frameworks.
Equipped with this knowledge, graduates will then customise their experience by exploring placements aligned with their interests and aspirations. They may focus on data engineering, building solutions within our data platform, or on data visualisation and analytics, where they will create impactful visual tools, apply analytical skills to interpret data, and inform decision-making.
Alternatively, they may explore data science, using advanced coding techniques to uncover insights and drive innovation in how Homes England operates. Graduates may also opt to specialise in geospatial analysis, engaging with spatial data to inform decision-making through mapping, 3D modelling, and spatial analysis techniques.
The programme concludes with a comprehensive project within the realm of data strategy and culture. Graduates will apply their learning across various data disciplines to lead an initiative aimed at advancing Homes England’s journey toward becoming a data-driven organisation. This final project provides an opportunity to integrate their knowledge, showcase their expertise, and contribute to fostering a culture where data drives decisions and innovation.
