    At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work.

    The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

    Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

    The Role

    This position supports implementing targeted price setting, focused on sustainable, profitable growth within the UK Aftersales Parts Operations.

    As part of the wider Parts & Service Operations team, the role holder will be involved in activities to further drive profitability to achieve our wider business direction of “Growth through Change”, as well as supporting the wider Service & Parts Operations Department with financial administrative objectives.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Support market research and regular analysis of competitor’s vehicle manufacturing and supplier’s aftermarket parts, helping to ensure parts pricing is competitive.
    • Support pricing and profit analysis within the UK parts business to manipulate large data sets to synthesize results and present recommendations to improve gross profit margins.
    • Support price setting parts in line with fixed and variable discount margin structures, incorporating F/EX rates.
    • Manage administration of key pricing systems and parts data feeds.
    • Support monthly analysis of parts pricing files ensuring minimum gross profit percentage is achieved.
    • Support managing reporting tools and process improvement to increase efficiency and highlight profitable growth opportunities.
    • Support of development and maintenance of Smart Pricing forecasts for consolidation and implementation into budgeting process.
    • Support of reviewing, development, and implementation all pricing policies that are necessary to ensure that Parts Operations is compliant with the relevant legal and other governing standards.
    • Maintaining and developing strong relationships with key internal and external business stakeholders.
    • Check and confirm accuracy of HME-UK gross revenue and gross profit data reports.
    • Support the wider Service and Parts Operation Department in the planning and launch of current and future products and major projects.
    • Support the Service & Parts Operations Department with raising and administering PO’s to maintain payments to our outside partners within set timescales in line with profit and loss (P&L) budget submissions.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience

    Required

    • Undergraduate looking for a placement as part of their studies
    • Strong written and verbal communication
    • Strong organisational skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
    • Strong team player
    • Positive, self-motivated, and confident personality

    Desirable

    • Knowledge of data analytical tools
    • Willingness to learn and practice statistics, mathematics, predictive modelling, or data manipulation
    • Ability to interpret pricing and financial data in a clear and concise manner
    • Advanced Excel user
