Our Climate Risk and Resilience (CRR) team helps businesses across different industries and sectors find practical and innovative ways to adapt to the challenges of climate change, whether it’s protecting assets, meeting net-zero goals, or unlocking funding for green projects.

Composed mainly of consultants, industry experts, and analysts, the CRR team combines deep industry expertise with cutting-edge analytics to create bespoke solutions for businesses that build resilience and pave the way for a sustainable future.

What will you be doing?

We have 6 internship places for Summer 2025 across our CRR teams. Depending on your exact position, your role might involve:

  • Analysing Climate Data: Collect and analyse climate data from reliable global and regional sources to identify potential climate risks and opportunities related to policies, market trends, and net-zero pathways for the businesses we partner with.
  • Building Climate Risk Models: Build risk models using tools like Excel and Python to assess specific climate risks, policy impacts, and energy trends, turning complex data into actionable insights for clients.
  • Developing Client Solutions: Work with the wider advisory and client solutions teams to design sector-specific solutions, write proposals, pitch decks, and improve services to meet client or project needs.
  • Managing Client Relationships: Support the team’s engagement with high-potential clients and manage relationships throughout the opportunity lifecycle and post-sales phases.
  • Planning and Organising: Help the wider team plan and manage projects to ensure they stay on track and deliver excellent results.
  • Research and Presenting: Support our Subject Matter Experts by researching climate-related topics and industries and contributing to reports and presentations.

Who are we looking for?

  • A recent graduate or current university student (Bachelor’s or Master’s) pursuing a STEM-related discipline or a relevant humanities subject (e.g., Geography, Natural Hazards, Economics, Sustainability, Climate Studies, etc.)
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel, with additional skills in R, Python, or Matlab being a plus.
  • Proven interest in climate change, sustainability, or renewable energy, demonstrated through prior work experience, projects, or coursework.
  • An interest in the insurance sector and how insurance-based solutions can address climate challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships, engage confidently with senior stakeholders, and translate complex technical insights into clear, accessible language.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
