What will you be doing?
- You’ll be working within our Bowood business, which manages binding authorities on behalf of major MGA (Managing General Agent) clients across various product lines and geographies.
- You will be a part of Bowood Specialty, a growing and ambitious team, formed in 2020 to diversify an established market leading business.
- You’ll quickly get a sense of the breadth and depth of the insurance ‘market’ working with Bowood’s diverse client base, which includes property, casualty, renewables, financial lines, cyber, M&A and other classes.
- We’ll introduce you to account management, with development opportunities into more of a broking role or a technical role once you’ve gained a solid understanding of what our clients do, binding authorities, processes and slips
- Working with senior members of the team; meeting underwriters and clients; attending meetings; helping win new clients and retain existing ones; creating engaging presentations; and, using data analytics to scrutinise
- You’ll have the opportunity to build and maintain strong and meaningful relationships with internal partners and external contacts, as well as working with other teams within the Group ensure we provide the best service to our clients.
- Obviously we’ll need you to maintain the top-level service our business provides, as well as adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What do we need from you?
- A degree (or equivalent) in any subject, level 2:1 or above, completed by March 2021 and within the past 4 years.
- A strong drive with a commercial mind-set, with the ability to use your initiative.
- Adaptability for working independently and as part of the team.
- A customer-focused approach, with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Resilience, analytical thinking, and having a strong attention to detail will be key elements needed for this role
- Strong initiative, and a determination to learn and develop in a fast-paced, ever-changing commercial environment
- Language skills would be great, but aren’t essential
