    • The Insurance Due Diligence (IDD) team is looking for a graduate to join its dynamic and fast growing team.
    • The purpose of IDD in mergers & acquisitions is to assess the insurance risks and opportunities associated with investing in a company. We offer expert advice on all risk & insurance matters of the target by utilising the skills and experience from our specialist teams throughout the wider Howden business including but not limited to; Financial Lines Insurance, Health & Care, Global & Corporate Risk, Energy, Technology, Manufacturing, Food & Drink, Real Estate & Construction, Marine and Education.

    Background to the role

    We are seeking a personable and ambitious individual to assist in growing our insurance due diligence business as an Analyst!

    The role will require an entrepreneurial approach, a willingness to use initiative, hunger for knowledge and the ability to work well as part of a team.

    As part of the role, you will provide insurance advice to investor clients. Our clients include Private Equity, Corporate and Infrastructure investor.

    ​With support and training from Howden M&A, you will provide pre-acquisition and pre-divestment insurance due diligence services.

    You will

    • Advise clients on the existing and historical insurance programme to determine if the insurance programme is in line with expectations.
    • Identify risk and insurance related issues that may impact the transaction.
    • Determine current costs associated with the insurance programme and estimate what these costs will be post-completion.
    • Issue a formal report to the investor client, followed by a meeting to discuss the findings of the report.

    You

    • A recent Law / Business graduate.
    • A determination and ability to learn about deal specific requirements of investor clients and the target company.
    • Ability to work well as part of an open and collaborative team.
    • Analytical, with an attention to detail.
    • Eloquent, personable and willing to, in time, meet clients/prospective clients and their advisors to explain our offering.
    • Looking to study towards the ACII qualification and / or have recently started studying towards it.
