Are you looking for a 12 week summer Engineering Internship where you will learn invaluable engineering skills and gain real-life work experience with a FTSE 100 organisation?

The role

We have an exciting opportunity for undergraduates to join our manufacturing site in Howden, East Riding of Yorkshire. Joining the UK’s number one trade kitchen supplier, you will work alongside industry experts where you will build experience and skills that will help you thrive in your early career. With clear responsibilities of your own. You will support continuous improvements, through developing and applying your engineering skills, on £1k to £10m engineering projects that range from production line improvements to installations of new processes and plant.

We have vast experience in employing and developing our Placement Students ensuring that they feel that they are part of our business. Our engineering placement programme has been designed to give you the chance to gain highly valuable work experience and skills and potentially secure yourself a permanent position within one of our graduate opportunities on completion of your studies.

What we can offer you

As an Engineering Intern, you will join us for the summer, receive a pro rata salary of £22,800, and work onsite 5 days a week. You will receive employee well-being support, an on-site canteen offering a free daily lunch

Am I eligible for this programme?

  • Our placement programmes are for university students currently studying towards a degree ideally in a mechanical, electrical, manufacturing or a related engineering field, who are seeking a 3 months placement over the Summer. You must have the right to work in the UK.
  • You must be able to undertake your placement for the Summer of 2024.
  • You must live within a commutable distance to our Howden site.
  • Be a confident communicator and be able to work well within a team.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail with a natural desire to problem solve
  • Be able to work collaboratively with others and be solutions-focused with a positive outlook.

Hiring Process
