    Howdens HR Services team have an opportunity for a HR Assistant to join their fast-paced team based at Howden, East Yorkshire. Supporting Operations and Supply Chain, HR Services are responsible for HR Administration, HR Projects, Management Information and to ensure our HR systems are continually maintained and updated.

    This is a full-time, permanent position that would suit a recent graduate, with a particular interest and aptitude for data analysis and systems and an interest in working in a HR environment.

    What will I be doing as a HR Assistant?

    • Ensure that all aspects of HR operational administration are delivered to a professional and effective standard to meet business requirements
    • Provide support to line managers and employees regarding processes within HR Services
    • Collect and maintain data to enable further analysis while supporting with the preparation of any reports
    • Providing support on data driven projects
    • Ensure all HR systems are updated accurately
    • Processing changes and leavers within payroll deadlines.

    What do I need to qualify for the HR Assistant role?

    • Demonstrate using Excel to an intermediate level, including V-Lookups
    • Interest in employment law and internal HR policies
    • Interest in HR processes and their impact on its people and how they link to policy
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Solutions focused, and highly organised with a customer service mindset
