To gain experience of working within a Technical Engineering function, whilst having exposure to the following tasks.

Key Tasks

Preparation of manufacturing routes for quotation (draft) and production (detailed) purposes
Document detailed heat treatment processes for each product
Liaison with customers to resolve process and specification issues before order acceptance
Define and control metallurgical/engineering requirements on material and subcontract purchase orders
Review and approve receipt of raw material based on certification, testing and purchase order requirements, prior to issue
Monitor all processes to determine, maintain and improve capability
Define, launch and monitor sample and development products in support of customer orders and Product/process development
Investigation of product non-conformance in conjunction with the technical team
Actively pursue cost reduction opportunities through refinement of methods and increased process capability
Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures and working practices
