    This exciting role within the HP channel programmes team focuses on marketing to and through our commercial channel partners to ensure they are kept up to date on our latest strategic initiatives and are able to promote HP commercial products effectively to their end customers to drive profitable growth. The core responsibility is to support the team on the day-to-day execution of the commercial channel marketing strategy and plan, including partner events, partner communication (including newsletters, promotions and social media), as well as managing the demo pool of products.

    Job Tasks

    Event Support

    • Work with events lead to ensure smooth invitation & registration process
    • Work closely with category teams to ensure relevant products & speakers available
    • Build relationship with sales & category teams to ensure efficient running of events
    • Support events on the day (where applicable)
    • Promotions pack
    • Responsible for creating a monthly promotions pack with the latest promotion details
    • Work closely with category teams to ensure all the latest promotions are captured & updated on all relevant touchpoints prior to send

    Partner Communications

    • Responsible for monthly programs calendar, working closely with local team to gather more content
    • Responsible for any ad-hoc communications to UK Channel Partners
    • Work with Channel Director to support his twitter feed with engaging, relevant and timely content, leveraging EMEA content to continue to build channel partner followers
    • Management of the commercial finance process
    • Working with the team to ensure various spread-sheets and systems are fully update and aligned.

    Management of demo pool

    • Responsible for ensuring products are sent out to partners/events.
    • Keeping track of where products are and ensuring they are returned in a timely fashion.

    General team support

    • Work with other team members/agencies to support implementation of partner campaigns

    Team Structure

    The Commercial Channel Programme Team comprises of a team lead, along with PC, Print and Supplies focussed Partner Programme Managers and specialisied HP Alliance Programme Managerss. The Commercial Channel Programme Specialist will work across all product lines including PCs, laptops, tablets, workstations, printers and supplies. The Commercial segment is the largest part HP and most varied in terms of customer segments it addresses and porfolio covered.

    Objectives

    • Support in the delivery of campaigns on time, on budget and on brand & communicate accordingly.
    • Hold regular status meetings with key stakeholders to review timelines, development etc.
    • Participate in regular conference calls and face to face sessions.
    • Process all purchase orders accurately and on time.
    • Ensure stakeholders are kept up-to-date with the right information at the right time.

    Skills required

    • Microsoft Office: in particular Excel, Power Point & Outlook
    • Editorial/Copy Writing: able to produce quality copy that’s relevant and targeted to the audience it’s intended for
    • Budget management: able to analyse and track financial transaction in and out of the business in conjunction with the rest of the team
    • Organisation/Co-ordination: able to prioritise according to preparation requirements including synchronisation of multiple elements with the same deadlines
    • Attention to Detail: awareness and application of guidelines & requirements in all activities
    • Communication: timely and regular updates on activity development, results & deadlines stakeholders
    • Teamwork/collaboration: develop strong relationships with team in order to pool resources effectively when required; support other team member objectives, especially those that overlap with own
    • Creative Problem Solving: Ability to think on feet and outside the box- challenge “this is the way we’ve always done it” mentality
