    The HP Wolf Security team are looking for a talented and technical student to join our world-class engineering team for a Summer Internship.  As a Software Engineering Intern, you will be helping the team to develop and/or test our cutting-edge security solutions product stack.  Your contributions will be directly affecting the products shipped – our Interns don't just watch our engineers at work.

    The primary focus of the HP Wolf Security team is developing cyber security solutions to protect our customers devices and data. The digital threat landscape is ever-changing and as the cyber security industry reacts and adapts to changes, so too do the malware authors.  Our unique micro-virtualization technology ensures that customers are protected from even the most bleeding edge cyber security threats. That micro-virtualization technology forms a key pillar in a wider cyber security suite that we're actively developing.  

    You will work flexible hours and be based at our brand new offices in Cambridge, UK.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Contribute to end-to-end solutions that span the whole software stack
    • Helping build enterprise class Windows applications which will be deployed on thousands of desktops
    • Co-operate effectively with development and product teams to produce high quality software
    • Working in a fast-paced environment that iterates and evolves rapidly

    Job Requirements

    • Final Year or Masters level student completing a degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
    • Proven coding experience in C++, C and/or Python
    • Solid understanding of development on the Windows Platform
    • Experience of working on programming activities outside of academia (open source contributions, coding competitions)

    The following skills and attributes are a plus

    • Knowledge of low-level Windows development
    • Understanding of virtualization
    • Interest in security with experience of malware and exploitation techniques
    • Understanding of browser technologies (Webkit / Gecko) and cross browser and browser extension development
