    We are looking for an experienced Investment Associate Consultant to provide high quality investment advice in a professional and efficient manner. Our Associate Consultants assist the lead Consultants on client teams. They will coordinate workflow across each client team, owning project management and delivery of pieces of advice.

    The role

    The role includes drafting client advice on a wide range of topics including investment strategy, structure, investment markets, risk management, asset managers, responsible investment and governance, and checking the work of investment analysts within each client team.

    Key responsibilities will include

    • Providing investment advice to trustee, local government and corporate clients on a wide range of issues.
    • Assist lead consultants with the preparation of client advice on a range of topics – key liaison person within client team. This will be across a portfolio of clients.
    • Developing technical skills and knowledge to deliver high quality, expert investment advice employing strategic and innovative solutions.
    • Delivering advice to clients at meetings, where required.
    • Managing workflow across internal client teams.
    • Developing the consulting capabilities of the business unit by coaching and mentoring team members.
    • Developing business – contribute to client ‘prospecting’, relationship building and new business pitches.
    • Activities designed to build and enhance the business unit’s and firm’s profile through networking, contributing to blogs and articles and other forums.
    • Building and maintaining strong links with other areas of the business to facilitate cross selling.
    • Adhere to the firm’s Information Security standards, policies and procedures.


    Essential Qualifications/Skills/Experience

    • Working towards FFA/FIA or CFA.
    • Experience and an interest in transitions is helpful.
    • Performing a similar role in an Investment consultancy environment is helpful but we are open to a diverse range of experience backgrounds.
    • A solid understanding of the legislative framework for UK pension schemes.
    • Strong commercial awareness of the pensions and employee benefits market.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to convey technical or complex concepts in a simple way.
    • Apply strong intellect to problem-solving in client organisations.
    • Coach and develop other team members.
    • Consult with client contacts across a range of levels.
    • Recognise and facilitate business development opportunities as appropriate.
