Hyster-Yale Group, (HYG), a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant (Student Placement) at our facility located in Craigavon, Northern Ireland.
HYG designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts marketed globally under the Hyster and Yale brand names. We are one of the global leaders in the Material Handling industry and have been building relationships and partnering with our customers, suppliers, dealers and employees for over 80 years.
We bring over 236 different products to the market, ranging from the smallest pallet truck to 48 tonne container handling trucks.
Key accountabilities
Located in the Human Resources Department in HYG Craigavon, this position will report to a key member of the Human Resource Team. The successful applicant will work in a team responsible for providing the following key accountabilities:
- Dealing competently with internal and external customers
- Participating in project work as directed
- Collating and reviewing current policies and procedures
- Updating and maintaining the Company Employee Handbook
- Supporting STEM committee
- Supporting cleansing of HR archives
- Assisting in recruitment processes
- Assisting with Absence Management process
Knowledge required
- Candidates should be students working towards a formal qualification in a Human Resources discipline or similar
- Competent in MS Office packages
- Strong teamworking and communication skills, proactivity and personal initiative and a desire to learn in a fast-paced environment
