    Put a lift in Your Career! Hyster-Yale Group, (HYG), a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for a Student Placement in I.T. at our facility located in Craigavon, Northern Ireland.

    HYG designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts marketed globally under the Hyster and Yale brand names. We are one of the global leaders in the Material Handling industry and have been building relationships and partnering with our customers, suppliers, dealers and employees for over 80 years.

    We bring over 236 different products to the market, ranging from the smallest pallet truck to 48 tonne container handling trucks.

    Key accountabilities

    Located in the I.T. Department in HYG Craigavon, this position will report to a key member of the I.T. Team. The successful applicant will work alongside a support team responsible for providing the following key accountabilities:

    • Assisting in all areas within the I.T. department
    • Provide excellent customer service and support to users both internal and external via email, face-to-face, telephone by working alongside our IT Partner NTT
    • First level user support (troubleshooting hardware and software)
    • Hardware lease replacements
    • Inventory control
    • Manufacturing Production Support with E-Scheduling, E-Kanban, MES & Bar-Coding
    • Project support
    • General support for the team

    Knowledge required

    • Candidates should be working towards a degree in an I.T. related discipline (Please note this placement will not be suitable for a Degree in Software Engineering)
    • Basic hardware/software troubleshooting, ability to prioritise & manage tasks
    • Competent in MS Office packages
    • Strong teamworking and communication skills, proactivity and personal initiative and a desire to learn in a fast-paced environment
