This vacancy is based at our European Division Service Centre (EDSC) in Irvine, Scotland and available for Hybrid Working.
Key accountabilities
These 12 to 15 month placement positions will report to a key member of the European Procurement Team. The successful applicants will work in a team responsible for providing the following key responsibilities:
- Issue requests for quotations; analyse Supplier quotations and participate in the preparation of sourcing recommendations.
- Participate in the Divisional Purchasing New Product Introduction Team in product upgrade projects.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and learn to work as part of the team.
- Assist Buyers in day to day commercial activities associated with managing a global supplier base.
- Provide support to the European Commodity Buyers for Supplier Meetings
- Support the Procurement Program Manager in monthly/annual reporting
- Ensure all new parts are added to our internal systems
Knowledge required
- Candidates should be working towards a degree in Commercial or Business Studies related courses.
- Candidates must have good customer focused skills, to enable them to correspond effectively with suppliers.
- Candidates should be able to work enthusiastically and efficiently within a team.
