At a glance

This is a critical role within a rapidly growing start up DTC ecommerce organisation and will give the successful candidate a platform to contribute to the customer contact strategy and execution. The role sits within the Marketing team and will manage the execution and ongoing development of email Lifecyle comms, tactical campaign activity, including the segmentation of audiences and other generic marketing initiatives as necessary.

You will own the development of the content & management of the campaign calendar, ensuring that planned activity reflects both the acqusition and retention strategies and critically that customers are receiving the right communication at the right time. This role will partner closely with the eCommerce Marketing Manager to ensure optimal omni-channel execution.

You will ensure that promotions are impactful, executed with precision and has the right planned focus on content, engagement and promotion.

What you will be doing?

  • Production of content in line with robust brand guidelines, delivered with cohesion across all points of customers digital experience.
  • Delivering digital CRM brilliant basics. Produce and execute through Klaviyo.
  • You will optimize end to end customer journeys ensuring CRM email results are in line with the promotional & content calendar and partner with the Analytics Lead to ensure all activities are tracked, analysed and adjusted to increase performance. Subsequently you will create a rigorous program of A/B testing to further optimise engagement and conversion results.
  • You will enhance the performance from all flows within the customer lifecycle plan, including both customer Subscribed to regular deliveries and those yet to be converted from transactional orders.
  • You will maintain and develop segments/cohorts of customers in accordance with their engagement attributes including but not limited to other affiliate programs, advocacy platforms and review engagement.
  • You will work with the Marketing Manager to ensure an appropriate balance of content enrichment alongside sales tactics.
  • Work alongside agencies and partners/freelance contractors to develop copy & creative executions in line with brand guidelines and TOV.
  • Assist in delivering new and innovative online experiences working closely with Marketing and Merchandising teams from campaign planning and execution and always on activities to ensure cohesion and maximum success.
  • Planning and production of digital content liaising with brand and marketing teams, coordinating and producing content inputs, design and layout work, gathering approvals and digital production
  • Support build of personalised experiences and dialogues for our consumers through use of internal consumer database platform

What skills and experience do we need you to bring?

  • Retailing background, and a solid understanding of digital CRM tools, cloud based ecommerce platforms and best practices in producing best-in-class content.
  • Proficiency in Klaviyo and some digital design experience is desirable in the ideal candidate.
  • The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of retail merchandising knowledge, preferably from the Alcoholic Beverages sector.
  • An exceptional analytical mind with strong technical proficiency and commercial awareness
  • Experience in the using cloud-based eCommerce platforms, preferably BigCommerce and CMS, e.g., Shogun.
  • Able to work autonomously in a fast paced and dynamic environment – experience of a start up would be advantageous.
  • Highly organised with attention to detail when performing tasks, ability to anticipate and manage problems, with an ability to prioritise and escalate where necessary.
  • Good communication skills; communicating clearly in writing and in person in both formal and informal environments.
