Duration: The Internship Programme will run for a period between 8-12 weeks (Monday 16th June to the Friday 5th September). Please ensure you can fully commit to this timeframe.
About the job
This role is part of the Surveillance division within Compliance, which is responsible for monitoring transactions and communications to identify potential misconduct including market abuse and financial crimes, such as money laundering, fraud terrorist financing, bribery and corruption. Surveillance use a combination of controls both automated and manual, designed to detect patterns of behaviour that require review and escalation.
Key responsibilities
You'll be responsible for assisting the Surveillance in their daily activities including the performance of quality assurance checks, testing systems, and performing certain data analysis tasks. You will also assist with updating documentation and the organisation of data records
- Assisting with non-disclosure agreements
- Documentation review and collation of data
- Potentially assisting the legal team with different projects
- Assisting with other administrative tasks
What you'll need to be successful
We're looking for the following skills and experience. If you don't have all of these but think you could be a good fit for the role, get in touch.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to analyse and manipulate data
- A proactive mindset looking for ways to enhance and improve controls
- Be a good communicator
- Language skill including Mandarin
