Division Summary
The Global Markets division of ICBCS offers sales, structuring and trading expertise to our clients across a range of products, with particular strengths in Emerging Markets. The Global Markets division comprises of two core businesses, namely Commodities and Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC).
The Commodities business provides trading, sales, working capital solutions and structuring expertise through its Metals and Energy teams. The division's expertise extends to the management and financing of physical commodity inventories across these asset classes.
The FIC business offers a comprehensive set of foreign exchange, interest rates, credit, money markets, capital markets and structured financing products.
Our clients include financial institutions, corporations, governments and institutional investors around the world.
FIC Team
Sales & Origination:
- Following up with various internal teams to ensure that progress is made: follow up with legal on the progress of agreements with clients, KYC, travel booking teams, operations and IT teams
- Assist with various processes such as, the pre-trade checks (adaptive, market risk teams, credit risk teams) as well as post trade bookings
- Drafting of documents required in the BAU environment, including but not limited to drafting presentations for management or clients, term sheets, credit risk forms, minutes on internal and external calls or invoices for clients.
- Creating internal projects to improve/upgrade the processes and tools used to conduct business
- Conduct market analyses and research including Central Banks for CIBM angles, Gold, Other assets, SOE banks and what assets they hold. Primarily in MENA, SSA and Latam region
Structuring:
- Manage and improve pipeline reporting and quality of STF papers and track deal progress on a spreadsheet for Structured Trading, Collateral Trading and Structured Finance.
- Do certain projects such as maintaining and standardising term sheets for each product traded by the deks, standardize client presentations for products traded by desk, maintain structured transactions pipeline and set-up quarterly management report, portfolio anagement exercises assisting in measuring progress of Libor transition, Term SOFR exposure, RCF exposure, Withholding tax risk, Security/Collateral packages.
- Following up with various internal teams to ensure that progress is made in execution / product approval: risk, legal, compliance, tax, finance and operations;
- Assist with various processes including but not limited to pre-trade checks (adaptive, market risk teams, credit risk teams) as well as post trade bookings
- Help with origination: drafting of documents required in the BAU environment, including but not limited to drafting presentations for management or clients, term sheets, deal files, portfolio management, minutes on internal and external calls.
- Conduct market analysis and research to further develop Latam business plan in terms of identifying target clients and counterparties n each country and relevant country limits/risk appetite.
