Division: Global Markets, Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC).

Duration: The Internship Programme will run for a period between 8-12 weeks (Monday 16th June to the Friday 5th September). Please ensure you can fully commit to this timeframe.

About the job

We have several opportunities across the areas below within our Global Markets Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC) team, and you will be asked to specify your preferred area in the application form. The FIC business offers a comprehensive set of foreign exchange, interest rates, credit, money markets, capital markets and structured financing products.

Our clients include financial institutions, corporations, governments and institutional investors around the world.

Sales origination

  • Work closely with multiple members of the Origination team to support them with BAU and ad hoc projects
  • Assist the Origination team with various established processes (incl. pre-trade checks, onboarding of clients, negotiating legal documents and credit risk limits) in collaboration with risk, legal, operations and IT teams of the Bank
  • Assist the Origination and Structuring team with building new processes and driving new initiatives (incl. launching new products, improving existing reporting, finding clients in new jurisdictions)
  • Assist team members in all aspects of deal origination, deal execution and post-trade management
  • Assist the team in preparation for client meetings (e.g. summary of client's financial profile, macro snapshot of the country client operates in, potential business opportunities) and participation in client conference calls (taking notes, summarizing next steps, drafting follow-up emails to client)
  • Work on external and internal PowerPoint presentations, internal Excel reports/Credit Memos/termsheets in line with current needs of the team, incl presentations for ICBCS management
  • Collaborate closely with Trading and Structuring teams on live and potential transactions
  • Conduct market analyses and research in line with the current needs of the team, could be with focus on LatAm, CEE, Turkey or Africa, depending on where placed in the team.

Structured financing

  • Work closely with multiple members of the Structured Finance team to support them with BAU and ad hoc projects
  • Assist the Structured Finance team with various established processes (incl. analysing deal documentation, reviewing financial models, drafting memos for internal committees)
  • Assist team members in all aspects of reviewing and executing the structured financing deal
  • Participation in weekly internal Structured Finance call (incl. taking notes and doing necessary follow-ups)
  • Assist the team in preparation for deal approval committees (drafting deal papers, working on financial models, collecting feedback from various departments)
  • Work on internal PowerPoint presentations, Credit Memos, Excel reports and models, termsheets in line with current needs of the team, incl presentations/reports for ICBCS management
  • Collaborate closely with Origination and Structuring teams on live and potential transactions
  • Conduct market analyses and research in line with the current needs of the team

DCM

  • Work closely with multiple members of the DCM team to support them with BAU and ad hoc projects
  • Assist the DCM team with various established processes (incl. working on a Eurobond mandate, sending updates to internal / external parties)
  • Work on internal PowerPoint presentations, Excel reports and termsheets in line with current needs of the team, incl presentations for ICBCS management
  • Collaborate closely with Legal and other teams on live and potential DCM transactions
  • Conduct market analyses and research in line with the current needs of the team
