Division Summary
This role falls within the Corporate IT and Risk IT functions. These areas support the ICBCS businesses across Risk, Finance, Compliance, Product Control and HR.
The team develops and supports a large number of applications spanning these business areas. They develop the applications in line with the priorities of stakeholders both business and technology. They also support the running of these applications in the production environment, managing and resolving issues to maintain a quality service.
The team has a strong and transparent relationship with its business stakeholders, acting as a partner and steering the IT strategy for the area.
The role
We are hiring for 2 positions within the Technology Internship Programme across different functions:
- Corporate IT
- Risk IT
This role will assist the team in performing their development and support obligations. It will be a combination of shadowing of existing staff members, gaining experience of the day to day working of an IT development team. It will also consist of an element of project work that will be focussed on a specific area with some tangible short term objectives that will be defined closer to the start date.
Key responsibilities
- Shadow team members, performing development or support tasts under supervision where appropriate
- Execute on short term project deliverables (whether development or process orientated)
- Continued engagement and communication with team members and line manager / supervisor ensuring alignment to required objective
Your knowledge, skills and experience
- Some software development knowledge in a Microsoft environment
- Some knowledge of development languages such as .NET, C#, Java, Python, SQL
- Microsoft Office application knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) would be beneficial
