IK is looking for its new ESG Data Analyst Intern to support the ESG team during a 12-month full-time internship/placement. The position will fit a student or recent graduate with great attention to detail, strong data analytical skills and an interest in ESG looking to gain more work experience in ESG data management in the dynamic private equity space.
The team
The ESG Data Analyst Intern will work from our London office alongside the ESG Associate and the ESG Director.
The role
You will be supporting the ESG team in collecting, organising, processing and reporting ESG data from IK investment professionals and portfolio companies.
Together with the ESG team, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and reporting portfolio companies' ESG performance, informing engagement strategies as well as aiding IK investors in making informed decisions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in collecting and managing portfolio company data, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Analyse, interpret and visualise data using Excel and/or Power BI
- Present insights to the ESG team and IK investment professionals
- Condense and synthesise information adeptly to create presentations for internal and external use
- Support in handling investor reporting and ESG Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) efficiently
Job requirements

- You are studying towards or have graduated with a university degree
- Have proven attention to detail, full autonomy in working with data
- Have a sense of ownership and responsibility
- You are proficient in Excel, preferably Power BI, and PowerPoint functions to manipulate, organise and visualise multiple data sources
- Demonstrated interest in sustainability topics
- Have good analytical, writing and communication skills to be able to present insights to your team and wider audience within and outside IK
