IKEA Croydon have an exciting opportunity for commercially-savvy, passionate and creative person to join our team as a Graphic Communications Assistant.

What we offer

  • A starting salary of £28800.00 per annum
  • This is a full-time permanent role working 39 hours a week.
  • Working hours will support the needs of the business, however, we are happy to discuss adjustments to these times where possible that suit you.
  • Ad hoc and occasional working times at weekends and/or evenings/nights to meet business needs may be required but this will not be often

Who you are

You are passionate and enthusiastic about graphic design and visual communications, and possess a strong eye for detail, a creative flair, and a motivated mindset. You will be someone who is attracted to the IKEA Culture and Values, and be happy to support with communicating this to our many customers.

Ideally, you have studied or are studying graphic design, print production, media, typography or a similar subject. However, if you have hands-on relevant experience, you may still be perfect for this role.

  • You have experience of using graphic design software and production tools such as the Adobe Suite.
  • You have the ability to prioritise and organise own work to make the most efficient use of available time and meet agreed deadlines.
  • You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and you have a practical, hands-on approach to work.
  • You are enthusiastic about assignments and working with others in a team.

What you’ll be doing day-to-day

Your role will revolve around ensuring that store communication completes and amplifies the shopping experience and range presentation through IKEA visual and verbal identity.

  • You will create simple and effective graphics, and use the large format and small format printers.
  • You will actively support with the development and implementation of the store communication strategies to support a convenient and inspiring shopping experience.
  • You will work with various stakeholders and departments around the stores, including Service Office, in getting key communication messages (such as sustainability) out to our many customers.
  • You will work within the guidelines that best represent the IKEA Brand Identity.
  • Bonus video editing skills
  • Proficiency in Mircosoft office
  • Knowledge of cutting and weeding vinyl
  • Confident with working at height on ladders.
