The UK and Ireland Digital team are looking for dynamic undergraduates to join us for a full-time 12-month internship programme, which kicks off in July 2023.
The role
As part of the Digital team, you will be responsible for ensuring IKEA Digital products and platforms are delivered with excellence to meet the needs of customers across our market to deliver an exceptional IKEA shopping experience. You will also enable our co-workers across 22 stores with the Digital tools and capabilities, they need to do their best work.
Our placement programme is structured to involve you in the delivery of projects across IKEA UK & Ire-land and to give you the chance to make an impact across a wide range of digital domains, from Product Development through to Project Delivery, as well as Information Security and Service Operations. From day one, you will be working on projects that are essential to the business, whilst getting the mentorship and development opportunities to discover your potential.
The role will be varied but exciting and you will have the opportunity to work across Digital teams and business partners, building your skills and applying your knowledge in disciplines such as analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping, project delivery, testing and systems support. We encourage thinkers and innovators to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to our team.
What you’ll need to have
- Students in their penultimate year of university studies, preferably from Information Technology or Business disciplines, returning to study in Autumn 2024
- Available to start from July 2023
- An intellectual curiosity and a willingness to challenge accepted ways of doing things
- Being a great communicator and exceling as part of the Digital team
- Excited to learn, grow and apply all you have learned into the rotational internship program
About the Role / Assignment
- Being an active member of the Digital team and supporting key IT initiatives
- Own the delivery of projects that help our Digital ambitions in UK & Ireland
- Support Information Security routines and assessments
- Implementing digital support changes across our stores
- Work in collaboration with cross functional groups like Customer Service, Food, Marketing, People & Culture, and many more
- Ensuring our projects deliver business value and help us measure results!

What we offer
Our Digital placements will start in July 2023 for a duration of 12 months and will be based out of our head office in Wembley, London.
The role will have a hybrid working style, with some days in our office and the rest from home. Annual salary being offered is £24,000, along with many benefits.
