The role
This role is a 12-month internship starting in July 2022, finishing July 2023. Based at our offices in Granta Park, Cambridge. Our program focuses on meaningful project work, professional and personal development, in addition to providing networking opportunities.
Your team
The QA (Quality Assurance) Department at Illumina works with our stakeholders and business partners to ensure that our products and services comply and are effective within our Quality Management System ( BS ISO 13485:2016 ) and that we have in place the necessary systems and procedures to demonstrate that compliance.
Within this internship, you will support compliance across EMEA (Europe; Middle East & Africa) including the UK and Netherlands and contribute to standard business activities such as, CAPA (Corrective Action Preventive Action), SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Report), and Audit.
You will be embedded within the supporting functions of the QA group to allow you experiential access to the systems to enable your practical growth and understanding of them in relation to the broader services which we support.
Role and responsibilities
- Production & distribution of KPI for example, CAPA, SCAR, NCR and LMS compliance.
- Assisting with the ongoing activities of the EMEA QMS & Compliance team, including problem investigation & promotion of quality culture.
- Operates on own initiative by completion of individual project(s).
- Collaborate with team members and other departments on improvement projects & compliance activities.
About you
- Undergraduate (Placement Year) or a Graduate (bachelor program or higher, 2:1 or above) preferred
- Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems preferred
- Strong database skillset that includes Excel or comparable tools
- Strong written communication skills
- Detail focused and task-oriented
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment
