As a Geology Technician your main responsibility will be to handle and manage the drill core coming from the drill rigs. The more common activities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare the drill core.
- Geological mapping
- Logging, sampling, and recovery measurement along with delivering the samples to the laboratory.
The role will involve manual handling and heavy lifting (the core tubes weigh up to 30kg).

What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who has a Degree in Mining or Geology and is now looking for that initial step in their career. Any previous experience working in mining and/ or drilling activities would be beneficial; however, if you don’t have this then training will be provided. In addition, you’ll:
- Be self-sufficient and self-motivated with the capability to plan and take personal responsibility for undertaking a range of designated tasks without direct supervision.
- Have good communication skills and are a team player.
- Be IT literate
- Full UK driving licence would be desirable
