The global indoor vertical farming market is set to explode and as a market leader, IGS has an incredible opportunity to be seen as the go-to leading OEM brand. The business is keen to add to our expanding Hardware Team by recruiting a Graduate Electronics Engineer.
The Role
Reporting into the Electrical and Electronics Systems Leader, the Graduate Electronics Engineer will will work with a team spanning multiple disciplines e.g., Research, Hardware and Software Engineering, Supply Chain and Customer Support.
The position will be based at our Inverkeithing Engineering Innovation Centre, and home working is supported. Some travel to our Crop Research Centre in Invergowrie is expected for test and integration of systems. Key responsibilities will include:
- Sub-system design of electronic assemblies.
- Initial testing of new designs.
- Contributing to design reviews.
- Experimenting with a variety of sensor technologies to feed our desire for high quality data.
- Supporting Engineering Change Control of existing designs.
- Progressing work against agreed timelines and budget.
About the Candidate
The relevant candidate is educated to degree calibre minimum in Electrical Electronics Engineering, Robotics/Automation or Mechatronics. Ideally, you will have some relevant work, placement, project-based experience in an electrical/electronic systems or products environment.
Familiarity with the process and tools required to create PCB's would be a distinct advantage and we would be especially keen to hear from candidates with Analogue/Digital signal processing for sensors, embedded coding skills and/or Library management experience; within Altium for example.
