Your role:
To provide research, monitoring and financial analysis of current or potential investments.
What we are we looking for:
- Analyse incoming research material, attend company meetings, and monitor company results and performance to help Fund Managers find opportunities and risks within the portfolios
- Write research reports and present investment theses to Fund Managers
- Develop and maintain own investment expertise through building and maintaining effective relationships with brokers, analysts, company management and internal contacts
- Proactively contribute to investment thinking within the department and ensures own best ideas are represented in the funds
- Produces / maintain appropriate models to support the investment processes
- Provide general support for the Fund Managers in preparing presentations, reports etc
- Liaise with clients, assist with the maintenance of client relationships, internal fund managers and other departments
- Represent the funds and the retail and Institutional business to external and internal clients, thereby making a positive contribution to the Sales and Marketing effort
- Ensure all activities are in line with Invesco’s Conduct principles, including our obligation to Treat Customers Fairly (TCF)
- Commitment to responsible investing serving clients as a trusted partner on specific responsible investment product strategies
- Contribute to Investment policy formation
- Line management / mentoring responsibilities
- Ensure that risks are aligned to the firm’s risk philosophy and risk tolerance guidelines
What you can bring:
- Relevant experience within a Fund Management or Financial business
- High literacy and numeracy skills
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills)
- Some understanding of portfolio risk management
- Knowledge of fund management and the investment process
- Knowledge of relevant markets and keen interest in financial markets
- High level of self-motivation
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent research skills
- Work with minimal direct supervision
- Excellent attention to detail
- High degree of initiative
- Must attain CFA level I and/or full IMC qualification
