    About the Team

    • One of the longest established and most active leveraged loan market and private credit participants in Europe with a strong track record of investing c. $9bn+ in European Leveraged Loans
    • Small team offering high responsibility and strong opportunity to develop
    • Exposure to various situations in private credit such as performing credit, distressed credit, work-out situations, and mid-market deals

    Your role

    We’re recruiting for a highly motivated and intellectually curious recent graduate to join our team on a 6-month fixed term contract. Do you have a passion for credit analysis and learning more about the leveraged finance and high yield bond markets? This 6-month opportunity will give you some phenomenal exposure to the analysis of investment opportunities and to making well researched and considered investment recommendations. 

    You'll be involved in:

    • Building up knowledge of the private debt market with focus on leveraged finance and high yield bonds. Learn to analyse investment opportunities and make investment decisions within those sectors in primary and secondary markets. 
    • Developing credit analysis and financial modelling skills to assist in the preparation of credit proposals to include company and industry analysis, capital structure analysis, cash flow projections, evaluation of collateral adequacy, management, lead lender, sponsor quality and view on local restructuring regime.
    • Monitoring and reviewing existing transactions including historical financial analysis, cash flow modelling and projections, industry analysis and assessments and review of internal and external ratings. 
    • Building and maintaining quarterly financial projection models.
    • Assisting in providing timely updates to senior members of the team on financial results and developing credit situations.
    • Working together with senior analysts and external advisors on restructuring and work-out situations including potential for structured balance sheet liability management transactions.
    • Assisting senior analysts in making on-going buy/sell/hold decisions through identification of relative value opportunities. 
    • Participating in management meetings, investor conferences and other events to develop industry and company specific knowledge. 
    • Developing relationships and maintaining dialog with company management teams, rating agencies, sell-side and fellow buy-side analysts to develop investment perspectives. 
    • Developing skills to review senior secured loan and high yield bond documentation for new transactions and amendments.
    • Participating in in-depth discussions with Syndicate Desks, Sell side Analysts and Private Equity houses on primary and secondary investment opportunities.
    • Building up a network of contacts within the peer group to help assess market sentiment on amendments and new deals.
    • Building knowledge on ESG frameworks (Environmental, Social, Governance) and undertake ESG analysis of potential and existing investments.

    You’ll need a degree with a strong analytical basis, and you’ll love using your quantitative and qualitative research skills to produce innovative and thoughtful ideas. Your financial modelling skills will also be highly developed. We’re looking for someone with an appetite to learn and the ability to work both independently and as part of our dynamic team.
